Charlton Medical Billing

While Charlton Medical’s expertise lies in emergency medicine we also currently provide billing services to numerous physicians at other hospitals providing care in critical care, trauma care, intensive care, hyperbaric medicine, OBGYN and family medicine. Our services are comprehensive, efficient and of great value. The directors overseeing Charlton Medical have experience in all of these areas of medicine, as well as in administration, finance and accounting. We have extensive experience in both Fee For Service and Alternate Funding Agreement billing environments.

Medical Billings

Billings are entered 24-48 hours from the time the charts are received & submitted to the Ministry of Health. Our clerks follow up & reconcile any OHIP queries/rejections daily. Physicians receive a billing statement along with their monthly remittance advice report, providing the physician a breakdown of what they billed per day/shift.

Educational Billing Sessions & Consultations

Educational billing sessions are provided to emergency physician groups as requested. These sessions provide information on optimizing physician billings.

Third Party Billings

We also process third party invoices and follow-up on payments. We complete WSIB forms and submit them electronically so physicians are paid the full amount for these forms. (this service is optional for 3$ per form)
